Out of all of my older recordings that I have not released yet, this is as close to a best of that I could get. Since these songs were written at different times there are a lot of different ways they were recorded. From a simple 2 channel mixer directly into a tape recorder to 4 and 8 track recorders. If I were to do a collection of what I think are my best songs, it would probably look very different than this. It's really hard for me to judge my best songs myself because they all are personal to me. Sometimes the songs that I think are my best get completely ignored when I play them for people, but then I'm surprised when people tell me they like a song that I consider to be filler material, just something you put on an album to fill space. I did my best to ignore personal feelings on this album and only put songs on here that people have told my they enjoyed in one form or another. Whether it was the original recording or if I played it for them live or they just read the lyrics and told me they enjoyed them, these are the songs I've heard the most about.
