You take away our benefits you take away our pride How do you think we'll make it on this part time We can't even make it we can't even stand It's time to give a little back to the common man We are the common man just doing what we can to survive You corporate bastards really think you have it all Do you know what it's like to have to beg and crawl Do you know what it's like to need a helping hand It's time to give a little back to the common man We are the common man just doing what we can to survive We are the common man just doing what we can Like a working horse you keep the blinds on our eyes We know just what we need and half of that is lies You offer us promises, but with an empty hand It's time to give a little back to the common man We are the common man just doing what we can to survive We are the common man just doing what we can to survive We are the common man just doing what we can

If you'd leave me there'd still be songs to write About the future about the past About the things we thought were right So please believe me it will always be the same And I know one thing is true I'll be here just for you All those things we said And all those things that could have been Maybe it's in the past And maybe it ain't gonna last But I know one thing is true I remember all those things we said If you'd trust me I'd stay with you tonight And every single word you'd say Would make me feel all right And if you'd love me it would always be the same And I know one thing is true I'll be here just for you All those things we said And all those things that could have been Maybe it's in the past And maybe it ain't gonna last But I know one thing is true I remember all those things we said All those things we said And all those things that could have been Maybe it's in the past And maybe it ain't gonna last But I know one thing is true I remember All those things we said And all those things that could have been Maybe it's in the past And maybe it ain't gonna last But I know one thing is true I remember all those things we said All those things we said And all those things that could have been Maybe it's in the past And maybe it ain't gonna last But I know one thing is true I remember all those things we said

Angela 03:43
Now the time has come to choose Someone old or someone new And whatever kind of choice you make You'll regret it, oh, some day Yet it's only up to you Though you do not want to choose Cause that choice might be too much to take You've got to make it anyway Angela, it's a new beginning Though it means it's time for our ending Angela, go with him But please stop playing these games with me Angela, go with him Now I knew that you would choose That someone young, that someone new And now I think it's all too much to take And you'll regret it, oh, some day Angela, it's a new beginning Though it means it's time for our ending Angela, go with him But please stop playing these games with me Angela, go with him

The Dreamer 02:15
Some people call me the dreamer But isn't that what life's about Dreaming about finding that right girl Or maybe bringing peace about You could call me the dreamer But I think we could save this world with love Some people call me the dreamer But isn't that the way things go Dreaming about life Tell me what you know You could call me the dreamer But I think we could save this world with love Some people call me the dreamer cause I'm always dreaming about something new What do I dream about now? Maybe just being with you You could call me the dreamer But I think we could save this world with love You could call me the dreamer But I think we could save this world with love

Nagging 04:10
Somewhere in the darkness you can hear the shouts again The troubles that I go through just to have a drink with my friends Don't give me none of your problems I've got some of my own Perhaps it would be better just to go at it alone Away from you stop your hounding I know I'm late again And you've got me feeling that it's never going to end That nagging bitch She's such a witch Come on undertaker dig that ditch Cause I'm ready to end it with you That nagging bitch Got that seven year itch The executioner can pull that switch Cause I'm ready to end it with you Now I know how Samson felt With hair so long he did so well But Delilah drove him up the wall And that's what led him to his fall That nagging bitch She's such a witch Come on undertaker dig that ditch Cause I'm ready to end it with you That nagging bitch Got that seven year itch The executioner can pull that switch Cause I'm ready to end it with youw

I can't take no more of this living People always telling me what to say It's getting harder to deal with the pressure It's getting harder every day The wars are breaking out in different countries And the crimes out in the streets Makes you want to stay in and hide out But is that really how the system can be beat Let's put an end to this summer heat Ah, we can prevail Ah, we can prevail Not everyone knows what they are saying Rambling on into a fight Nothing can really be solved be anger Even if you know that you are right Why must we always have to fight Ah, we can prevail Ah, we can prevail Ah, we can prevail Ah, we can prevail

about

I've never been happy with my vocals and when I started posting some of my songs online, I was only going to release some instrumentals, but after much encouragement I have decided to release these songs. These songs were recorded around 2013 on a Zoom PS-02. That was the last time I remember trying to record a collection of songs, though I have recorded a few other individual songs here and there since then. I really just wanted to try recording with the PS-02 because I hadn't used it in a long time. I just wanted to see what I could do with it. I started digging through my old lyrics and started recording the ones that spoke to me at the time. While all the songs were recorded around 2013, the songs themselves were written at various stages between 1987 to 2013.
